I'm not sure if we are friends or not?

I have known my next-door neighbors for about 9 years. The oldest is a boy (nickname Brick) and his sister (nickname Ellie) is two years younger than him. I am about a year and a half older than Brick. Brick and I were really good friends when we were younger, then as we grew up a little bit we stayed friends but I became closer with Ellie. Also, Brick had a crush on me, but as the years went by he seemed to show it less and less. However, sometimes he would make me think that he still liked me. But then I made a fake Facebook of Brick (read my other questions, it's a long story) and even after I apologized and they forgave us, things have become awkward. I still talk to Ellie and we act nothing is weird whenever I see her, but we never hang out anymore and I'm worried about asking her to. I can't tell if we are really friends anymore? Things between Brick and I have been even more awkward. We usually try to avoid each other but we have spoken in a friendly manner also. How can I ensure that we can really still be friends?
