How can i create a 3D hologram?

i saw this youtube video a long time ago where this teacher created a 3d hologram or illusion by projecting an image of space toward a mirror with one of the newer projectors and when the image reflected it created a 3d image...is this possible if not how can i create one at home! please help!!
